Re: Trustee versus Executor

Executor is the term used for the person(s) named to administer the operations of property passing under a decedent's Will (only property titled in decedent's sole name)

Trustee is person named to administer the property held in a trust created by somebody, either in their Will (called a testamentary trust) or in a living trust (created during life).

In other words, executor runs the estate, if any, and trustee runs the trust, if any.

Hope that helps.
