does a verbal contract on a cash rental on farm land become void if the owner of farm dies

Certain agreements are required to be in writing to be enforceable. A lease for the use of land, depending on the term of the lease, may be one of these. If the farm owner dies, the new landlord would have to follow eviction law requirements to get rid of the tenant.
