Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

No Will. Am I entitled to an inheritance?

My mother died (in Dec 1997) without a will.

She has 3 children and remarried, therefore, I have a

step father. My mother inherited her house from her father. When she married my stepfather, she took a loan out on the house which had no mortgage, and the title was put in hers and my step father's name as Jt Ten Wros.

My step father said that when he sold the house my brother, sister and I would receive some money as an inheritance (Since he has remarried and has a child).

He sold the house in April 2006. My brother and sister

received $10,000.00 each. I have received nothing from him and have asked him when I will get my share. He hasn't returned my phone calls and when I did speak to him, he said he would have to think about it. That was 3 months ago. I the house approx sold for $350,000.00. My mom's estate was small, in addition to the house and my step father received everything. Am I entitled to an inheritance by law? or is it my step father's call?

If I am intitled, I would like some legal help. How would I proceed? Thank you.
