Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois
will
My grandmother past away 3 weeks ago. I just found out today that she left me something and my aunt wants to talk to me and my sister and also wants me to sign off on something. She had a will. I was also told there is a reading of the will in 2 weeks. If I'm in the will shouldn't I recieve a copy from my aunt who is the executor.

Re: will
Yes, but it should be filed with the local Circuit Court as well.

Re: will
You will find out what is yours at the will reading. If you have to get a copy of the will from the court, that is easy
Re: will
Well as long as your aunt is seemingly being open about things and there is a "reading" won't that describe everything that's in the will? Ask her for a copy. If things would get dicey if the estate had to be opened in court then your aunt had to file a copy of the will with the county's circuit clerk's office so you could get a copy from them.
