Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Illinois

My uncle died and left me ,a large sum of money,and his son,is in charge of it.he made me sign papers that i won`t have any further claims,which i did.however he wont tell me the name of the attorney who drafted the will,nor will he deposit the money as instructed,the son claims he`s moving to Virginia from Chicago and as soon as he gets all paper necessary,he will honor the will,but i fear the worst,what should i do?

If there is a will and you have an interest in it, you have standing to open a probate estate to protect your rights.

In addition, the will is required to be filed with the county by the person in possession of it within 30 days of the date of death - by doing so, it becomes a public record.

I would recommend that you seek the advice of an attorney in the county where your uncle died as soon as possible.
