Wills and blood children

My father passed away and gave everything to my step sister. Nothing to my brother and I. He had nothing to do with raising her. She was an adult when he married her mother. They live in Florida and I live in IL.

Generally a person can disinherit blood relatives, including children, in their will and leave everything to anyone they choose.

You may be able to make a case of undue influence, but they are generally hard and expensive to prove. You should contact an attorney that deals with will contests for further guidance.
