if a husband writes out a will to a wife that she is to have his estate yet when he does die as a single man he was divorced from that named wife, is the ex wife still entitled to his estate or would it be the daughter whom was named in the will in the event the wife died. thank you

Under Illinois probate law, provisions for a spouse in a Will are automatically revoked and ex-spouse treated as predeceased.
