Re: My Back
Dear Sirs:
You have two (2) years from the date of accident to file a premise liability case under Illinois law.
Our firm has been in existence for twenty five years, and have successfully handled many such cases.
Sincerely,

Re: My Back
If your injury occurred at work, you have 3 years from the date of your accident to file a claim.
If your injury did not occurr at work, and you feel you have a potential claim against Nissan for neglegence - you would have only 2 years from the date of your accident.
I would be happy to speak with you to walk you through the filing of a work injury claim. I have handled hundreds of back injury claims in the past. I understand back injuries are difficult because they can linger for many years. For this reason, you have options when filing a workers' compensation claim that would allow you to continue medical treatment at the expense of the employer for as long as your pain is lasting.
Feel free to contact me to discuss how I could help you further at the information below, either by phone or e-mail.
Good luck!
Re: My Back
You have 3 years to file
a workers compensation claim
if you fell at work.
You have 2 years to file
suit if you fell due to
the negligence of another.
It sounds like you fell at work.
You should get a consultation
from your surgeon if you are still
having problems.

Re: My Back
If the date of your fall and injury is less than 2 years, it is not too late to make a claim against Nissa for your injury, provided that they were at fault.
If you were at work at Nissan when you fell, it is also not too late to make a claim.
My office can help you out if you need further assistance.
I hope this helps,

Re: My Back
Hi,
You ask this question under the heading of Workers' Compensation but you do not indicate if you are employed by Nissan.
You also say had the surgery about two years ago but when did you have the accident?
As a general rule, you have three years to file a claim for a reported workers compensation accident and two years to file a lawsuit in a negligence claim FROM the date of the accident.
Please provide a bit more info for a more thorough answer.
Thanks,
Matt Belcher
