Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

My boyfriend fell from 2 story building on 8/11/08 and had to be flown from the scene to bigger hospital for emergency brain surgery and continuing doctors visits. This happened on the job and he has been receiving workmans comp. My question is should he contact a lawyer or just take what the insurance offers him for a settlement.

You should definitely contact an attorney.

If you would like to discuss further feel free to contact me.

An attorney, most times will garner a higher settlement.

Dear Sirs,

He should contact an attorney. In addition to his workmen's compensation benefits, there may be remedies he can pursue for "third party" recoveries as well.

If he cannot return to his former employment, a number of remedies exist.

Our law firm has successfully handled many such cases in the nearly thirty (30) years we have practiced law, and he should definitely contact an experienced lawyer to represent his interests in this matter. I would strongly encourage him not to settle until he discusses his legal rights with an attorney.

Please feel free to contact our office to discuss this matter in depth.

Sincerely,

John C. Wunsch
