Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

broken foot at work

Last year I broke my foot while doing landscaping for work. The company had a management contract with the owners of the property and I reported that the curbs needed repaired to the owners and my supervisor. I had two surgeries on my foot and was told that i would lose some of the flexability and that the pain would go away in a couple of months so far it hasn't and its been 8 mo. Also workers comp hasn't paid all the bills and I've been sent to collections for them. What are my options?

Re: broken foot at work

Your options are to file a workers' compensation case or seek to settle directly with the insurance company. Likely the insurance company will not offer you full value for your injury however.

Therefore, in order to maximize your benefits, I reccomend you file a workers' compensation claim. If you do so - so long as your injury arouse out of the course of your employment - you will be entitled to receive payment for all of your medical bills, time off work, and a lump sum settlement at the end of your case.

It does sound as though you have some significant injuries and you would be entitled to a nice sum of money as a settlement at the end of your case. I would be happy to work with you to maximize this settlement and ensure all of your medical bills are paid in full.

I have been handling many similar workers' compensation claims and I'm confident I can help. Feel free to contact me at the information below.

Good luck to you!
