You shouldn't settle IMO until you've been back to work problem free for at least three months. They don't have to offer you a settlement and when they do it's typically a low ball amount. What it's worth depends on your wage and what your medical records say. In other words, a good settlement for you may not be what a good settlement for a co-worker with a similar injury was. You might also want to keep your medical rights open as relates to the injury which means if you have any problems in the future with your wrists (even years down the road) the insurance company would have to pay for it.
