Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

I have been denied worker's comp, but have the same injury

In Nov of '98 I was injured @ work. Workers comp. paid for everything. I returned to work in Mar'99, worked till Feb.'00, and couldn't work anymore due to disabiling pain. Workers comp. sent me to their dr. who reported I should rtn to work full duty. My dr. said no, after testing I must have the same disk (that was injured in '98)removed & spinal fusion on Nov. 13'00. I have been denied long-term disability as my dr. was contacted by the adjuster who asked if I could walk around my home, and he said yes with limitations. I had all of my pay cut on Sep. 11'00, and now they are demanding I go back to work-lite duty. I have an informal hearing on Oct. 11'00, if I go back to work(lite dty) and IF the judge tells them to turn it back to workers comp. will I have to stay @ work? I truly feel unable to return to lite duty as I need daily help to do just about anything. I am on 10 Vicadin and 5 Ultram per day just for pain, and feel that I cannot drive safely. I would have returned to work in May when they cut my pay to $600 every 2 wks, or at least when all pay was taken last mth. if I truly could go back...I am a single mom w/no income at all. Please help me.
