Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

self employed

I was self employed caregiver. I injured my neck with two bulging discs and a pinched nerve. And i am unable to go back to that job.Can i file a work comp claim or can i sue my employer for my medical bills or wages?I have not purchased any work comp ins. I have filed self employment taxes for the past two yearsfor this job.

If you were self employed, then you are responsible for paying for your medical bills if you did not purchase worker's comp insurance.
