Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

What is a FMLA request? I had asked a previous question on If an employer can terminate you if after being on Workman's Comp for more than 8 weeks and make you reapply for another job in the company?

FMLA is the Family Medical Leave Act. It provides for up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave per year , provided that your employer is covered, you have sufficient tenure, and a doctor signs-off on it.

Absent FMLA protection or a contract provision, your employer could fire you the day you get injured. WC statutes guarantee medical care and income support, not job security.
