forced to change job at company because of injury
My boyfriend is a truck driver for a company and was injured moving a pallet jack. He is unable to drive and unable to lift more than ten pounds. The company is having him lift metal objects with the uninjured arm whcih is causing extreme pain to his back and his injured shoulder. Can the company force him to do a job he was not hired to do?

The short answer is "yes".
However, consider the following:
Your boyfriend's employer is trying to accommodate the restrictions of (hopefully) your treating doctor.
If that "light-duty" job is causing your boyfriend problems, then he needs to see his treating physician and has his work restrictions modified again.
If the new restrictions cannot then be accommodated then the insurance company must restart his TTD benefits.
