Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

hurt at work

Last year I broke my foot while doing landscaping for work. The company had a management contract with the owners of the property and I reported that the curbs needed repaired to the owners and my supervisor. I had two surgeries on my foot and was told that i would lose some of the flexability and that the pain would go away in a couple of months so far it hasn't and its been 8 mo. Also workers comp hasn't paid all the bills and I've been sent to collections for them. What are my options?

Re: hurt at work

Dear Sirs:

You have the right to proceed with your workmen's compensation claim.

Also, we would investigate whether you have a third party case against any other liable entities.

Please call to discuss.

Many thanks,

Re: hurt at work

If you were injured while working you need to speak with an attorney who specializes in workers compensation - after eight months the bills should be paid by your employer's workers compensation insurance.

Did they pay you any benefits while you were off work? TTD?

Did you employer have workers compensation insurance?

Did they "deny" your claim or just never process your claim?

Thanks,
