Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois
Neck Surgery sorry I never finished
I also wanted to ask if there is a way that the w/c would settle this with a life expect. settlement? B/C if they go the route of a perm. dis. on my neck does this mean all they have to pay is a max. of 500 weeks of dis. at like $600.00 per week or $300,000.00 right? I mean there is noway I could even think about letting them off for 500 weeks of dis. because of the miserable life I have gone through these past 40 months etc. I do not have a 3rd party case another lawyer stated because I have been drawing ttd for all this time and I would have to get a huge amount just to pay the ins. company back their TTD they have paid to date. And it was another worker that dropped a welding lead on me from about 300 ft. up and it landed on me about 165 ft. in the air. I was in the ER for 8 hours and the safety guy was there as well and they sent me home driving after they gave me 2 shots of demoral. It took me 2 hours to drive 40 miles. The next day I went to w/c doc and he starts off by saying I want to talk about that old football injury you had years ago? I said what I never played football and he said well then you had a car wreck or some kind of trauma. B/C you had a hairline crack in your neck and it is still there but has healed now???

My answer is still the same.
You need to sit down with a lawyer who will listen to you.
Some lawyers on this site just tell you how they settled a few cases for big money.
If you notice - they never answer your question.
If your lawyer does not listen, your cannot help you.
Call and make an appointment with a lawyer who is well-versed in comp law and will listen to, as well as, answer your concerns.
Good Luck,
