Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

pay

i cut myself at work received 4 stitches. was told not to

return to work because i handle raw meat and fish. i

know i would normally be eligble for workmans comp

pay but i was starting my vacation the next day. is it

possible to receive workmans comp for this week off

and make them give me the following week as vacation

time ?

The answer to your question is "Yes" IF a doctor says you are/were unable to work those days. You probably can't get the company to give you another vaction period as they will have paid you both TTD and vacation pay for the same week IF you can get them to pay you for being off of work.
