Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois
not receiving pay
on my job for 23 years. doing work in that position for 16 of those years. developed tennis elbow, tendonitis & bulging disc in lower back. filed for w/c was denied. took over 2 mos for that decision. went on s/t disability. stay in therapy for over 6 mos. went back to work & in 4 days fell on property . was escorted out by ambulance couldnt walk. talked to c/a next. day. i decided to get a lawyer. was off work for 2 mos before getting payed. only got 4 checks(1mos) and payment stopped. have been examined by w/c doctors. it is now going on 4 mos with no pay. my lawyer says he cant make them pay me but when they do, ill get backpay. now i will be forced to quit job so i call pull my 401k to pay bills. i have applied for ssda but no answer yet. if i have to quit to get money to make a living,. why is my lawyer not fighin? i was forced to go to dhfs. i get food stamps but no money. what do i do to get paid. my lawyer is not giving me answers i need. why did w/c stop . weekly payments have nothing to do with the lump sum. so now i have 2 claims against the company. the first time i had work interuption and now me actually falling. there was another employee who actually pulled me up off the floor. i need help. i feel my lawyer after

What does he mean he can't do anything right now? You can file a 19b petition for immediate hearing and have an arbitrator decide. If you would like our help please call, 312-
