Re: Who can I trust?

Interestingly, your email is titled "Who can I trust?" But your email indicates that you have been following the lead of your employer and possibly an insurance company. Whether you have surgery or not, you are entitled to a settlement for the permanent injury that results from your accident. If you have surgery, the permanent injury may well be greater - meaning more money for you. But you really need a lawyer to figure it all out. No one can tell you how much money you should get now while you are still treating. In order to get the most for anyone, a case needs to be investigated and evaluated. Lawyers, such as me who has been doing this kind of work for over 20 years, have the resources to do that. I would be happy to answer any other questions you may have or represent you if you wish to be represented. Only then will you have someone answering your questions or talking for you who you can trust and who knows how the whole Workers' Compensation system functions.
