Legal Question in Workers Comp in Illinois

If u were injured at work by your foot being crushed and had physical therapy and was referred to a foot specialist sense had cortisone injections. That didn't work so was referred to a pain specialist and still have pain. The work comp sent me for an I.M.E and they said I could return back to work because I was at my maximum. Do I need a lawyer to get a settlement offer? Because the insurance company hasn't offered me anything. And I still have a lot of pain in my foot. Thank you.

If they haven't made an offer yet they probably won't. Good news is that you will always get more with a lawyer even with their 20% fee. If you want a referral call me at 800-517-1614 and I will recommend a top attorney in your area.

1.) Do not even consider a settlement until your foot pain is addressed.

2.) For Illinois Workers' Compensation claims, you will ALWAYS cheat yourself if your do not hire experienced counsel. You will have someone to guide you through the process AND when it is time to settle, an attorney can add value to your case IN EXCESS of his fee. So, you have fewer headaches AND you get more money. It really is a no-brainer.
