joint family property

dear lawguru,

my uncle sold his property without taking my dad's consent.the property was purchased by my uncle in the year 2000 and he sold this property in 2008 without my parents consent.currently we are not staying in a joint family but is there any possibility to claim that property or get the stay order from the court.

My friend iam afraid that you cannot claim or get stay order from the court as it is self acquired property as explained by you.But kindly let us know that when he purchased property was family a joint family?Feel free to contact.

If the property was purchased by your uncle, there is nothing wrong if he sold the same.

As per your question there is no wrong from thr part of uncle, but if the property is a joint family property you can claim.
