Legal Question in Administrative Law in India
After cancellation of contract due to abandonement of work by contractor under Indian Arbitration Act 1996 can the contractor ask for Arbitration under contract agreement considering the fact that there is no contract valid after cancellation of contract.

For the purposes of arbitration, the agreement/contract survives even after abandonement of work. There is a specific provision in the Arbitration Act which keeps the agreement alive for this purpose.
