Legal Question in Administrative Law in India
Domicile Certificate
My father is born in Agra but since 1964 we have been reciding in Pune. I was born in une and am 21 yrs of age now. I applied for a domicile certificate which I received but with an option of '' Domicile by choice'' and not ''Domicile by Birth''. The reason given to me was tht my father is not born in Maharashtra and hence ''by choice''. Does that really make a difference? As my college requires the option as ''BY Birth'' on the certificate and the domicile office is not co-operating

Re: Domicile Certificate
You may approach the authorities only if you find that the certificate issued by them is not in conformity with law. You may refer to the relevant rules framed by State Government for this purpose.
