Domicile
I am a Defence Officer presently posted in the State of Maharashtra. I want to become a domicile of Maharashtra State. Please let me know the eligibility conditions for obtaining domicile status in Maharashtra State. I am a native of District Azamgarh in the State of U.P.

I don't see any trouble in permanently staying the Maharashtra if you wish so. You have a fundamental right under Article 19(1)(e) of the Constitution of India "to reside and settle in any part of the territory of India". In my view, there are no special eligibility conditions to be fulfilled to be a domicile of Maharashtra State.
