Legal Question in Administrative Law in India
Domicile of Maharashtra
I am a serving Army Officer of the Indian Army. I was posterd at Ahmednagar from 1985 to 87. During this period, my son was born in Ahemednagar. Since I am in the army and in a transferable job, I was posted out to other parts of India and did not get posted to any place in Maharashtra again. Now my son wishes to seek admission in a professional course in a college in Maharashtra. I wish to know, can he claim being a domicile of Maharashtra on the basis of his birth? If so, what is the procedure?
