Maharashtra co-op soc act 1960 and its rules and its bye laws
There are many defaulters in our registered housing society who have not paid their maintenance dues.whether the society can cut the water supply of the defaulters.?

The Society may take appropriate action as per the Bye-laws, decisions taken in AGM and/or by the Manaaging Committee.

If you want to taste the internal environment of indian jail,you can go ahead and touch the essentials like water and power supply and see what happens.
The defaulters can be dealt with either through recovery proceedings u/s 101 of the M.C.S.Act,1960 or by way of expulsion u/s 35 of the said Act,if your registered society situates in Maharashtra (India) or as the provisions of the Co-operative Act as applicable to your jurisdiction.
