If a suit is lost in a High Court in a societies act 1860, can I myself as a petitioner appear in person to appeal before the bench, instead through an advocate??

Any party can represent before any court instead of an Advocate.

yes, you have a right to fight your own case in any court in India.

You can seek the permission of the court(oral or written) to do the same.
