Legal Question in Administrative Law in India
Problem with Information Commission
I have filed one RTI application request with the concerned PIO of the Government Department, They failed to comply with the request for furnishing information on a particular subject.
Appeal was filed before the state Infofmation commission, The State Information Commission directed the concerned government department to furnish the information immediately and the said appeal was closed.
The concerned government department did not furnish the required information even after the order of the Information Commission.
I filed a Complaint to Informatin Commission stating that the concerned government department has not furnished the requested information inspite of this informaiton commission's order.
The Chief Information Commissioner is hesitating to take action against the erring Public Information Officer (PIO).
What remedies are available for me to proceed against the inaction of the Chief Information Commissioner?
Please help

You may file a writ petition in the High Court u/a 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking a direction against CIC to take appropriate action against the PIO and get the order implemented.
