Legal Question in Administrative Law in
Ten candidates have been selected for post of Section Officer (G) by one Autonomous body via Departmental Competitive Examination.However, only two candidates at Sl. No.1 & 2 have been appointed. Other candidates have not been appointed and there is no news by the Autonomous body regarding their appointment. I am No.5 of the Selection List. I have not been appointed. Kindly examine the legal validity of Selection List.Is the organisation bound to offer appointment to all the candidates of the select list.Kindly help.

My friend first of all without keeping you in dark let me clarify that beating a competition does not mean that selection is going to be made.
But then too in your case it has to be looked in to various other aspects such as number of post etc.
Therefore I'll suggest you if you can send me the details advertisement and number of seats against which examination was conducted.
