Welfare Society or Co-operative Society

Ours is a housing society (Welfare society) registered with Charity Com. about 15 years old, but not doing any welfare act. Can we register ourselves as a Co-op society. What are the legal steps required to be taken to register a society. Welfare trust also do not posses land on which flats are built. Kindly suggest

The coop socieities are different entities registered under the Coopeative Socities Act. The formation of a society may depend upon the goals to be achieved by the members.

for registration of society you are adviced to take the services of lawyer.

otherwise the registration is done at the office of registrar of societies. after some formalities the society can be registered.
