Bar Council is a statutory body constituted under the Advocates Act. Naturally, a writ can be filed against the Bar Council, just like a writ can be filed agaisnt any statutory body, if the petitioner is able to show to the court the infringement of his fundamental rights or legal rights by any act or mossion of the Bar Council. under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, such a writ can be filed before the concerned High Court. In case of clear case of violation of fundamental rights, the writ can be filed straight away in the Supreme Court also under Article 32.
