Legal Question in Banking Law in India
I applied for a pre approval house loan from hdfc. The agent was not sure of processing fee, hence he took a blank check from me. But the bank encashed the check without informing me of the final processing fee. As per the agreement the processing fee is non-refundable. Since they didn't inform me the actual amount and encashed the blank check without informing me, can i claim this amount from the bank? Can i approach consumer court, if they refuse? What proof should i have to proove my case?

It is very difficult to prove that the bank took a blank cheque without informing you about the exact processing fee. If the bank refuses loan on any flimsy ground, you can complain to Banking Ombudsman. that is all
