Legal Question in Banking Law in India

I had availed loans and credit cards in Dubai in 2008. I lost my job and was unable to make payments to the bank. Later some banks filed cases in Dubai, and i was arrested and served jail sentence in Dubai. My passport was cancelled and i had to exit Dubai. Now i am in india and after a year one i get a call from someone claiming to be Delhi Police who says there is case against me from a bank in Dubai and they are preparing an arrest warrant for me. He then asks me to contact this lawyer. When i contacted the lawyer, he explained that the bank is filing a case in India. I explained to the lawyer that i have already been to jail in dubai for this bank. But he insist that i pay the sum of 18000 UAE Dhs. I would like to know, if its possible for a case to be file against me in this matter in India.

Dubai cannot prosecute you in India. Take the assistance of a lawyer who is credited as dealing with these types of cases and defend the action.
