Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Bank Nomination.
My father has a Bank account in a Nation Bank. My father had named my mother as a nominee. My Mother expired a year ago. My father did not change the nomination on my name & a moth ago my father also passed away.
What is the procedure of getting the funds from the Bank ?
I have my fathers Will on my name.
Please advice.

If the amount is not much e.g. is Rs.25,000/- or less the bank may settle your claim on indemnity and affidavit basis. Approach the Bank concerned to find out how best they can settle your claim. If they insist upon Succession Certificate from a court of law, approach the local lawyer to make the necessary application to court.
