Legal Question in Banking Law in India
I borrowed Rs 20000.00 from my landlord and signed a promissory note for 1 year. Landlord passed away (died) and his family is harassing me now. I paid Rs10000.00 to landlord and have no receipt. Also I had given a post dated check for remaining 10000.00 (blank) which I stopped(I kept proper balance). I received 2 different notices about demanding 20000.00 and on top it 10000.00 with 138/420. I am innocent. help me understand and what I can do here.
