Re: Cheque Bounce
Uptill now if the party did not take any legal action, then the party can not initiate any criminal proceeding but can initiate civil proceeding because the limitation period for initiating civil action is 3 years.Chances of initiating civil action are remote because legal expenses will be more than the cheque amount.
Re: Cheque Bounce
Yes, he can take legal action against you.
Re: Cheque Bounce
Dear Sir,
That person did not take any legal action against you till date.
He can not file a criminal case for cheque bounsing because it is time barred.
Your cheque is also has no value as it is not valid on expiry of 6 months from the date of issue.
But he can file a civil suit against you for recovery of the due amount.
