Legal Question in Banking Law in

A self cheque for Rs.100000 is presented with out crossing of bearer. The signature of drawer is clear and incidentally the backside of the cheque is also signed by the drawer. However on the backside there is an other signature. The customer is claiming that it is not withdrawn by him and the other person and the bank is liable for payment. Bank has not carried any id proof to the person who collected cash as it is a self or bearer cheque. Kindly clarify please.
