Legal Question in Banking Law in India
one of my cheques from my cheque book is missing n i think it was stolen... what can i do? and if someone has already deposited the cheque, can i find out who it is?

issue stop payment to your bank mentioning the number of the cheque missing. If the bank has already paid the cheque, you can collect t he details from your bank. You can also collect the details re t he presenter of the cheque, if it has been returned.

you may file a police Non Cognizable report by mentioning the cheque number etc. and also direct the bank to stop payment on the basis of NCR.
