Compassionate appointment

My father died when he was working with Central Bank Of India as a Record Keepar on date 08-11-03.( Age 53 Year)

I requested to authority that plz provide me a job on the base of compassionate appointment.

The head office decline my request with reason that my economic condition is not too bad and they can't provide me a job as per the rule of Indian govt. and as per the guidelines by the IBA.

My father was a employee with the lower grade. and we received a total sum of rs.500000/- including Insurance and Providend fund.

My father left behind my mother ,my sister and two brother with me.

And abobe money was not sufficent for future reqirement sch as Our study.carrer and marrige.

After the verdict i send many application shows my poor condition but the bank does not revert back any of them.

Plz Help us by providing knoweldge and procedure.

thanks .

Re: Compassionate appointment

Claiming a job in a nationalised bank on compassionate grounds is not at all a right anymore, but have you wrote about your family position to the C & MD of the bank?Instantly meet the C & MD at his office along with your family with a prior appointment and narrate the situation. He shall lookout for the chances if any to recruit anyone of your family members.Try & Try & Try until you succeed. All the best.

Re: Compassionate appointment

At this hour, You will have to knock several doors. The Govt's policy as well as the recent supreme court ruling says that 'compassionate appointment' cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Consult your father's bank union chairpersons (but do not pay anyone bribe). Your drafting of this querry is good, hence, I would suggest you to submit several representations to the bank higher authorities without losing hope. If your representations fail, approach the legal-aid cell of the High Court of your state to file a writ of mandamus seeking remedy. Have faith. All the best.

Re: Compassionate appointment

compassionate appointment cannot be claimed as a matter of right. Approach the Local Central Bank Staff union office bearers and request them to recommend your case to the management. Also get from them the current guidelines of the Bank on compassionate appointment. If your efforts do not succeed say within two months, file a writ petition in the High Court within whose jurisdiction your father died and the bank branch is situate.
