Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Credit card default: Time limit on civil suit
If I default on my credit card debt (such as membership fee or a real expense), can the credit card company sue me say 10 year down the line and claim interest at 3% p.m. (which will become huge in 10 years). Or in other words, is there any time or financial limit for such claims.

The time limit as per the Limitation Act,1963 to enforce by way of suit in a court of law is three years from the date of your indebtedness and from the date when it was payable by you. The CC company cannot enforce the claim after the expiry of the said period.
