Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Credit card taken in dubai
Dear Lawguru,
I was working in dubai (UAE), and came to India on vacation in nov 2004. I could not go back. I had amount outstanding on my credit card. Recently a credit collection agency in India started calling me. Is it legal.? I am job less now and cannot repay the money immediately. I can enter into a contract with the bank and continue the instalments after I get employed.
Please advice
Thanking you,
Sincerely
Ravi

Re: Credit card taken in dubai
If you have acknowledged the debt that you owe to the bank, then you do not have any option other than to go the negotiating table, or else you have to seek time on the grounds that you have stated.
