Legal Question in Banking Law in India
if a crossed cheque is issued without any name on it and without any supporting transaction or document what is its validity?

it is still valid and the the drawee can initiate the action which you may later defend that there was no privity of transaction between you two.

a cheque which is not filled up, but signed, crossed or uncrossed can be filled up a person to whom it has been given for proper reason and presented for payment/clearing. If any improper person fills it up and gets paid, then the drawer has to blame himself for the same and approach a lawyer for appropriate legal remedy.

If the cheque is not supported by any transaction; it may not fasten any liability on the drawer, if the cheque is bounced.
