Legal Question in Banking Law in India
Dear Sir,
I lost the DD before it was given to the payee, informed same to the bank on the same day and requested for dd money back. Bank authorities said that we will get the money back in a month. And now they are requesting a letter from the encashing bank that the DD has not been encashed. But the encashing bank is not ready to give any letter, when requested for the letter they said they cannot provide any letter and asked us to contact the bank issued the DD. Issued bank authorites are saying that they cannot proceed without that letter. It is already 2 and half months completed. So please let me know how can i go further for getting my money back.
