Ecs to the bank

I have taken a vehicle loan from reliance consumer finance bangalore,however due to my father's road accident and my office closing down due to recession,i am not able to pay my monthly emi.The collection people are harrasing me and my family by calling and coming over to my place for the amount.However i have sent a request letter from my lawyer's side.inspite of this request letter being sent to them , they are continuing to harrase me and my family.How can i avoid these calls from collection people?please advice.Hiowever i have paid 14 emi till date with only once being bounced.i have no intention to cheat the bank anyways.please advice...

Payment is the only solution. An advice may not help. You may not be able to avoid your liability. If you do not have sufficient income, you may consider selling the vehicle and repay the loan.
