Excess amount credited to account
Dear SIr
I wrongly credited 2000 excess to account of another branch of our bank.It was a cash entry.It was my mistake.The person withdrew through ATM.As a banker what steps can be taken to recover amount.
Please help me out

You can issue notice to the person who withdrew the wrongly credited amount. If that person has any credit balance, ask that branch holding his account to set off for the excess wrong payment made to him. If that person does not have any credit balance or no chance of his account coming to credit, only solution is to file a suit against him.
