Legal Question in Banking Law in India
A girl has taken education loan before marriage. is the husband responsible in any way to repay the loan who was noway concerned with loan while it was taken. also he has not agreed to repay the loan verbally or in writing.

The husband is not liable for the debt of his wife, whether the latter contracted it before or after marriage, unless he has personally in writing guaranteed the debt. It is another matter, if a husband does not help his wife to clear her pre marital or post marital debt and allow her to suffer which is likely to affect their cordial relationship.
