Legal Question in Banking Law in India
A invites his friend B to his house for a dinner. A spends Rs.2000 to arrange the dinner. B does not turn up to take dinner. Can A recover this amount from B due to his failure to attend the dinner? As an invitee to the dinner, the invitee Bcannot be held liable for the expenses incurred by his friend in arranging for the dinner. If B agreed earlier to contribute for the dinner and he did not turn up, he can be asked to compensate A for the expenses incurred by A in arranging for the dinner to the extent to which B had agreed to contribute for arranging the same.
