Legal Question in Banking Law in India

I have a joint account as well as a locker in a bank in my mother's name & my name.

My mother has died. I am working abroad, Can my brother approach the bank & claim money of right on the locker ??? His name in not in the account.

you have not said whether the joint account is "either or survivor". If it is not your brother can claim to be a heir to your mother and stake his claim for the amount in the joint account as well as joint operation of the locker. If it is either or survivor he cannot do.
