what is the legal position when nominee dies after receiving the nominated amounts? who will get the money lying in the nominee's name?

nominee is nothing but a custodian so the legal heirs has no right over that amount so the money will go to the person who made him nominee

Nominee is only the custodian of money on behalf of the principal , the money would go to the legal heirs of the Principal person .
